10 things not to be missed in Zermatt

​

1. Tour of the 3 viewpoints (Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, Gornergrad and Rothorn)

All three viewpoints offer a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn. On the Rothorn you can see the Matterhorn from its best side, and from here you also have a view of the village of Zermatt. You can comfortably reach Gornergrad with the Gornergradzug. You should have your camera ready on the train. On the summit you can enjoy the view of the mountains of Zermatt and the glacier. On the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the Matterhorn shows itself from another side. You stand deep in the snow in the middle of the Swiss and Italian mountain diversity.

3. Paragliding flight

For our adrenaline junkies, a paragliding flight is an absolute must.

4. Village tour with a visit to a museum

The village of Zermatt still has old treasures from yesteryear. Visit the old village with its traditional "Gädis" and the memorial fountain by Ulrich Inderbinen, our most famous mountain guide. Then visit the mountaineers cemetery and end your tour with a detour to the Matterhorn Museum.

5. Sunrise on the mountain

In the morning, when it is still quiet and calm, the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains show themselves in their most beautiful colors. In summer nothing stands in the way of your morning hike (we will be happy to provide you with a lunch box the evening before). In winter you benefit from the "First Track" offer of the mountain railways.

6. Zermatt nightlife

You can enjoy the nightlife in Zermatt  definitely not to be missed. Start the evening with an aperitif in one of the numerous bars and lounges and then enjoy dinner in a chic, traditional, Asian or Italian restaurant. Then you are ready for the Zermatt nightlife in one of the many bars and discos.

7. Night hike with a breathtaking view of Zermatt and the Matterhorn

Grab a headlamp and take a leisurely stroll to the Gryffel Platte (30 minutes running time).  You can make yourself comfortable on the bench and enjoy the view of the Matterhorn and the sea of lights from Zermatt

8. Sleigh fun at sunset in winter

The sledges are ready for you in our ski room. Take the last cable car to Sunegga and then take a leisurely stroll to Tufernalp (approx. 30 minutes). Your toboggan run to Zermatt starts there. Have fun

This hike is leisurely and packed with unique viewpoints.

10. Breithorn mountain tour

From the small Matterhorn you can reach what is probably the easiest 4000 meter mountain in Switzerland. On the Spitz you can enjoy the view of the mountains and the Nikolai valley. However, a good physical condition is necessary and the company of a mountain guide is highly recommended.
